The great Pisces season is now in full swing! The 19th of February marks the beginning of the season of our fellow Pisces and the 20th of March marks the end.
Pisces are very in tune with their feelings and the feelings of others. Their most common strengths are their creativity, their understanding, and their great amount of care for others. Their most common weaknesses show through in their high emotional sensitivity. This can lead to them becoming extra vulnerable and sensitive, and leave them worrying a lot about the effect that their actions might have on others.
Due to their passionate emotions, empathy is a strong suit for many Pisces. Viviana Nicastro, an SSHS Pisces, said, “I feel that understanding others is the best way to help them through whatever they are going through. I always try and choose empathy over sympathy to provide more support in a full-hearted way.” As much as it can be difficult at times to be sincerely empathetic towards someone, even if you don’t understand or agree with their situation, it’s worth it in the minds of many Pisces. Pisces Andrew Wilson said, “I try my best to be empathetic. Sometimes I’m sure I can get frustrated with others, but I always find a way to take a minute and reflect on their viewpoint and situation. It helps me understand them and the situation better.”
Their empathic tendencies tie into their compassion towards others. Nicastro very much believes herself to be compassionate and said, “compassion is one of my strong suits and I find it very easy to be compassionate with others and about various topics in my life.” Pisces Jacob Munter agrees. He said, “I think that looking out for others is an important aspect of life.” As much as being compassionate and considerate is an important trait to possess for many Pisces, it doesn’t just come naturally all the time–you have to want it. Pisces Clare Hegener said, “I would say I’m compassionate but it’s always a choice not just given.”
Being in touch with the emotions of themselves and others is connected to their intuition, another commonality in many Pisces. Nicastro has always known herself to be intuitive. She said, “ever since I was little, it didn’t matter what it was about, I would always have a strong personal feeling about situations or people. I love that I can sometimes rely on the fact that I can trust my gut in most situations.” Wilson, Munter, and Hegener also find themselves to be intuitive, even if they don’t always listen to themselves. “I have a strong gut feeling, and a good understanding of what’s going to happen next,” said Hegener.
The passionate side of a Pisces also shines through in their artistic abilities and creativity. Nicastro said, “I definitely have an artistic/creative side. Sometimes the skill comes out of nowhere, and I find myself to be creative or artistic subconsciously.” Regardless of what form of creativity, the emotions of many Pisces tie into their works (even subconsciously in the case of Nicastro.)
Although Pisces share many similar characteristics and personality traits, their hobbies can vary based on their different passions and interests. Wilson loves to train in martial arts and spend time with friends and family, whereas Nicastro loves going out to local coffee shops and reading. Munter loves to hang out with friends and be outside, and Hegener loves to watch TV.
There is a long list of well-known Pisces, whose personalities give insight into what life as a Pisces is really like. Some of the most famous Pisces are Rihanna, Drew Barrymore, Millie Bobby Brown, Camilla Cabello, Justin Bieber, Adam Levine, Kurt Cobain, and Albert Einstein.
There are several significant traits shared among our fellow Pisces, but it is important to note that there are differences between them too. Hegener, Munter, Nicastro, and Wilson are all their own unique and kind individuals whom I bear the great pleasure of knowing!
