Spring has finally sprung, and Aries season is here and blooming! March 21st and April 19th mark the beginning and end of this wonderful season.
Aries are known for their “fiery” personalities and high energy surrounding the things they love and care about. Their most common strengths lie in their ambitious drive and optimistic attitude, which allow them to handle challenges and make decisions more easily. Their most common weaknesses are their impulsivity and reactive nature. Their distinct level of independence can also come across as intimidating.
An Aries’ insistence on self-reliance can often be chalked up to their assertive drive and determination in day-to-day life. Carly Fay, a Saratoga Springs High School Aries, said, “when I have a goal, I will try to do anything I can to achieve it.” More often than not, their willpower can be attributed to the important events happening in their lives. Aries Natasha Chudy said, “I am determined on the things that are close to me. I will set my mind on something that’s important and do whatever I can to achieve it.”
This strong-mindedness has to do with the “fiery” passion mentioned previously. Chudy said, “I am very passionate about the people close to me. I will always put my relationships with people first and care deeply about them. I’m also passionate in the things that matter most to me and the activities that make me the happiest.” Aries Krish Patel agrees, finding himself to more or less conform to traditional Aries characteristics. The people in the lives of an Aries tend to be a very common inspiration for an Aries’ drive and passion. Fay said, “I care about the people in my life very much and value all my friendships and family a lot. I also would say I’m super passionate about other things I care about like rowing and clubs.”
Passion can be found and used in several different ways. Aries are known for their strong leadership skills, as they are not afraid to take the initiative. Chudy said, “I am definitely a leader, and I prioritize setting examples for others. In any setting, I will always try to be someone that is looked at for help and guidance. I like to have a positive influence on people.” Although leadership is common in Aries, it doesn’t mean that they’re all leaders in every situation. Fay said, “I will lead if I need to. I don’t find myself initiating often, but I’m not uncomfortable if I have to be a leader.” Patel said, “It really depends on the situation.”
Another key trait that ties into leadership and determination is confidence. Many Aries are confident because of their energy and devotion to people and things in their life. Chudy said, “confidence has been something that has developed over time for me. I have grown into someone who is confident in myself and what I do. I’ve learned that it’s important to be confident in who you are, and the things you do.” Spoken like a true Aries!
Patel finds himself to be confident “most times.” Confidence, however, is such a difficult thing to obtain all the time. Similar to leadership, it doesn’t always occur in every situation. Fay said, “I’d say I’m pretty confident, although I do get insecure and overthink sometimes.”
Although Aries have many similar characteristics and personality traits, they also have their differences. Their favorite hobbies can vary depending on the person. Chudy prioritizes her relationships with the people that make her happy and loves to spend time with her friends. She also loves competitive activities and games, taking place primarily outside with friends. Fay loves to sleep, be spontaneous, and try new restaurants whereas Patel loves to work out.
There is a long list of notable Aries whose personalities give insight into their lives. Some of the most famous Aries are Emma Watson, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Kourtney Kardashian, Elton John, Robert Downy Jr., Pharrell, and Paul Rudd.
Despite their similarities, Chudy, Fay, and Patel (and Fergie, Gaga, and Pharell) are all still their own unique individuals who bring their own kind of passion and leadership into their lives and this world.
