Dresses and suits of all colors, styles, and patterns were worn by the students of Saratoga Springs High School and their dates as they lined up outside of the City Center on Saturday, May 17th. Nails are done, hair is styled, and the wait is over. The 2025 Junior/Senior prom has officially begun!
The doors open, and a mad dash ensues as everyone is let in. After passing their breathalyzer and bag check, students rush to grab tables for their groups before heading into line for food. From hamburgers to fries to pasta in an all you can eat style buffet, it is safe to say nobody went hungry.
Remixed songs entertained everyone in line until they decided to head onto the dance floor. Decorated to fit the theme of LaLa Land, the dance floor was covered with a white tent that had navy curtains draped across the top along with white hanging paper stars and twinkling lights. Students crowded onto the floor until there was no space left with some students even dancing outside of the tent.
Classics like ‘Timber” and “Cotton Eyed Joe” were blasted as well as rather niche songs, including a country song for the iconic slow dance moment making sure everyone enjoyed their time on the dance floor which was still packed as the night went on. The high energy lasted until 10 when Prom was officially over for the year.
The last of the students headed out, keeping the fun going with ice cream and parties with friends. Despite the downpours experienced during pictures or the concern about a combined prom, Juniors and Seniors alike were able to make this prom a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
