– Saratoga Performing Art Center Kicks Off 2025 Season:
Saratoga Performing Art Center kicked off the summer concert season with a performance of comedian Matt Rife on May 18th. The Live Nation owned venue contained in Saratoga Springs State Park boats a large amphitheater, holding upwards of 25,000 fans. The venue has come under recent scrutiny for the removal of summer long lawn passes as well as a ban on blankets inside the venue. Nevertheless, the venue has a long list of artists visiting the venue in the coming months with hundreds of thousands of fans expected to attend throughout the season.
– Seasonal parking fees start in Saratoga Springs
The parking garages of downtown Saratoga Springs are now subject to the seasonal parking fees on city owned garages. As more tourists begin to visit the town in the summertime, parking garages will now a fee to park until labour day. Vehicles will pay $2 to enter and $12 to park overnight.

This week marked the 5-year anniversary since the murder of George Floyd that spawned mass protests throughout the world in 2020. Floyd was killed when Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on the neck of Floyd for 9 minutes until he died on the sidewalk of a Minneapolis neighborhood. Five years later, many activists have made speeches reflecting on the state of the nation since the murder.
