Cafe Lena in February

Febuary, 9 2026 by Violet Hoke (‘27)

Caffè Lena is a historic folk music venue established in 1960, making it the oldest continuously operating venue of its kind in the US. It has hosted legends such as Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie. Below are some top picks for some great shows in February!

Dive into a classic jazz experience with the Chuck Lamb Trio, who often play at Caffè Lena. With special guest and jazz guitarist Mike Moreno, this show is perfect for new and longtime fans alike. Chuck Lambs’ acclaimed piano performance is at the center of the music, expressive through each note, accompanied by Mike Moreno’s signature flair that he has built across collaboration with various top artists across the scene.

The Peak Jazz Series brings back The Soggy Po’ Boys for an anticipated return to Caffè Lena, delivering yet another night of electrifying tunes. For fans of funk, soul, street-band brass, and jazz, this show is perfect. The Soggy Po’ Boys yield a party-like atmosphere that encapsulates listeners and encourages them to tap their feet to the rhythm. This high-energy jazz band provides a blend of brass, reeds, guitar and drums that is irresistible.

Along with providing live music, Caffè Lena additionally hosts a monthly record listening party. These listening parties are aimed at educating us on the history of each album. This month, our host Rochmon chose Meatloaf’s second studio album, “Bat Out of Hell,” released in 1977. Learn more about the blended rock style of the famous band Meatloaf in a welcoming new space!
