The Saratoga Blue Streak’s Varsity Hockey Team defeated the Adirondack River on 1/28, with a final score of 5-3, on their home ice of Weibel Avenue Rink.

The game was Saratoga’s “Senior Night,” with a ceremony celebrating its senior players prior to the game. As part of the ceremony, a scholarship was awarded to captain, Matthew King.

The Streak’s first line produced the vast majority of the scoring, with a pair of goals from forwards Landon Poutre and Tyler Nadolny.

When asked about his 4-point senior night, Nadolny remarked “It was a great team effort by everyone. Very special to score 4 points on senior night. I just wanna thank all my teammates for playing hard for the seniors and closing the game strong.”

The Streaks league record rose to 8-2, while Adirondack fell to 4-5-1.
