Caffè Lena is a historic folk music venue established in 1960, making it the oldest continuously operating venue of its kind in the US. It has hosted legends such as Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie. Below are some top picks for some great shows in March!
Girls Need L3ve is a special performance organized with the nonprofit “More Music Less Violence.” This show features ten strong female artists from around the Capital Region, highlighting local artists as well as being in honor of National Women’s Day. There will be a mix of voices and styles on the Caffè Lena stage, all in one uplifting and inspiring night!
Chris Jones & The Night Drivers bring their contemporary bluegrass music to the stage, filled with soulful vocals and deep Americana roots. Led by Chris Jones, a Nashville-based singer and guitarist, he and his band blend heart and warmth in song, showcasing a rich string focused sound that appeals to both old and new bluegrass and folk listeners.
Skidmore Jazz is a show led by local students from Skidmore’s Jazz Institute. It’ll be a lively evening of music, featuring aspiring young musicians performing everything from jazz classics to newer arrangements. These talented students offer a spirited night of up-and-coming talent.
