Astrology can correlate with honestly everything, and if you are building your summer playlist right now and are feeling a little bored of what is on it, then you’ve come to the right place! Find your sign below and see your musician/band that I believe has a great vibe to match. Also, feel free to look at the other signs too, and have fun with it!
- Aries (March 21 – April 19) – Lettuce
Lettuce combines funk and soul along with bits and pieces of hip-hop to form a fun and bold dynamic sound. Aries are known for their assertive personality and energy, which goes perfectly with the energetic and jam-band kind of music Lettuce does so well.
- Taurus (April 20 – May 20) – Stan Getz
Stan Getz is a jazz and bossa nova artist whose music takes on themes from Latin sounds. This Latin feel in his music creates a nice summery vibe, and its warm energy makes it perfect for our fellow Tauruses. I can totally see Stan Getz playing during times like a nice dinner outside.
- Gemini (May 21 – June 20) – Dominic Fike
Dominic Fike blends alternative, pop, and hip-hop to create the kind of head-bobbing music that Geminis vibe to. Geminis love different kinds of rap and/or pop, and with Dominic Fike being almost like a combination of these two, it’s safe to say he’s a perfect match up.
- Cancer (June 21 – July 22) – Faye Webster
Faye Webster’s music is like the soul-sister to Cancers, as her music is imaginative and soft. This kind of genre could be categorized as bedroom pop, indie, and folk. Cancers love chill music, and so Faye Webster’s music would be perfect for them on a nice, chill, summer afternoon.
- Leo (July 23 – August 22) – Addison Rae
Addison Rae is for the girls who want a bit of a main character moment—cough, cough; Leos. Addison Rae’s Y2k, trip-hop, and pop feel to her music is perfect for our Leos who want to stick their heads out of car rides on their vacations.
- Virgo (August 23 – September 22) – Drugdealer
Drugdealer is a band whose 70’s and indie sound is super down to earth and perfect for our Virgos who want to spend summer mornings outside with a cup of coffee and a book in hand. Virgos are always looking to chill, and in my personal opinion, Drugdealer takes that same kind of chill vibe and adds summer undertones to it.
- Libra (September 23 – October 22) – Jalen Ngonda
Jalen Ngonda is super soulful, with R&B and retro essence. His music has such a good and uplifting vibe, matching well with our Libra’s attraction towards heartwarming, upbeat, and loving kind of energy.
- Scorpio (October 23 – November 21) – Sade
Sade blends jazz, soul, and R&B into smooth vocals that radiates a kind of energy that you just want to soak up. Scorpios love a majestic feeling sound, and so I would lead them right towards our girl Sade. I can totally see our Scorpios vibing to her on a hazy night somewhere warm and luxurious.
- Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21) – Dispatch
Dispatch is for our hikers and our concert goers, which is just the vibe of our Sagittariuses. Dispatch has a great indie, rock, folk, and jam-band feel that is perfect for those of us looking for a free-spirited but chill listen—which I would say fits the Sagittarius personality quite well.
- Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) – Jack Johnson
Jack Johnson is a classic pick for summer, and our Capricorns love to eat up all the classics. They love something familiar that almost feels cozy, and I’d say that is just the kind of music Jack Johnson makes; especially for the summertime. His music blends acoustic rock, folk, and surf rock together with such uniqueness and comfort.
- Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) – Cocteau Twins
Cocteau Twins feels so dreamy and hypnotic, it’s almost as if you are truly falling into a different world. Aquarius’ love something unique and imaginative, and the Cocteau twins are the epitome of this. It is easy to picture our Aquariuses listening to them while on a late-night swim in their pool.
- Pisces (February 19 – March 20) – Mac DeMarco
Mac DeMarco combines bedroom pop, indie rock, and psychedelia to form an authentic swirling and groovy feeling as you listen. Pisces are dreamers, and Mac DeMarco will put you right into that hypnotic state. His guitar moments in some of his tracks feel almost a little beachy and nicely done in a way that is chill and kind of hazy.
