The Saratoga Springs Football team has an exceptional 7-1 record this year and are looking to continue the success.
They defeated Shenendahowa High School 14-10 on their homecoming night, October 23rd, and now have one more regular season game on October 30th against Guilderland.
The whole team is looking forward to the first home playoff game since 2015. They are also hoping to become the first ever Saratoga Football team to win back-to-back sectional championships, “We took down CBA in the sectional championships 14-13 last year, and we’re going to do it again this year,” said wide receiver and senior captain Gavin LaFrance.
On another hand, Saratoga Springs Girls Soccer is in the midst of their sectionals battle in the quarter finals. They won the first sectional game an outstanding 9-0 against Albany.
The girls are going to be training hard in their last practice before their game against Guilderland on Saturday. Although they didn’t take the win against Guilderland in the regular season, they are determined and prepared, “We definitely have the potential to win,” says senior captain Zoe Mahar.
Saratoga students, let’s help to cheer them on and get them the win they deserve! We’re looking to bring the school spirit to these games, so let’s make sure to get lots of energy from our student section!
