Football: CBA Stuns Saratoga in Home Opener

By Isabelle Kelly

On Saturday, Christian Brothers Academy defeated the Saratoga Springs boys varsity football team in a 40-0 rout. Scoring a touchdown on their opening drive, the Brothers stayed in control for the remainder of the game.

Though CBA’s offense was consistent throughout the game, the Brothers’ defensive juggernaut prevented the Blue Streaks from getting on the scoreboard. CBA’s defense recovered three fumbles, returning one for a touchdown, and restricted Saratoga quarterback Sean Hudson to 97 passing yards.

The Blue Streaks will attempt to rebound from their defeat when they visit the Bethlehem Central Eagles next Saturday.
